Every June, the John's Band team runs, walks, or rolls across the finish line at the PurpleStride DC 5K, a fundraiser for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Last year our team of 40 exceeded our fundraising goal and were able to give $7500 to this great organization. Over the years we have raised about $50,000 in the fight to create a world without pancreatic cancer. JOIN US OR DONATE to our cause by clicking the button to the left..
This site was established in MMXIV to honor the memory of John Donohue, ne omnis moriatur.
John's student and friend David Bloch had these words about John's legacy.

ENCOURAGING STUDENTS TO PURSUE THE STUDY OF CLASSICS
The John Donohue Memorial Award, a one-time award of $1000, recognizes students who have demonstrated their commitment to the field of Classics by qualifying to renew their National Latin Exam Scholarship for all four years of undergraduate study. It is hoped that, no matter what field they pursue in the future, they will, like John, live a life enriched and inspired by all things Greek and Roman....and inspire others in turn.
